As we say goodbye to morning swims in the river, picnic lunches in the grass, and late summer nights under the stars, it’s easy to get caught in a whirlwind of emotions over the littles gearing up for another year of school. Yet for myself (and many working parents I know), this is also a time to look forward to getting back a little space for ourselves as we welcome the school week routine.

River Road Clothing Co. began as a side hustle for a working mom with a passion for designing stylish yet functional outdoor adventure gear. With no expectations of this dream becoming a thriving business, the original logo came from one of our popular t-shirt designs. But today, we'd like to introduce you to something new!

Camping season is the ultimate test of survival skills: Can you start a fire without burning down the forest? Can you set up a tent without dropping an F-bomb? Can you brave the unspeakable horrors lurking within the campground restrooms? If you answer "maybe" to any of these questions, congratulations! You're ready to embark on an adventure at one of these incredible camping spots. 

Many states in this country have towns and cities nestled right up against a major river. To millions of people, the river lifestyle is more than just a fun summer activity. They live and work along the river and need a lifeline to travel back and forth. River Road Clothing Co. is named after a very real (and necessary) landmark that runs just down the way from where our business operates. As we get ready to celebrate the fifth anniversary of this “what if” I’ve built into a business, I dug back through the archives to put together a reminder of how much it all has grown.
